Dornechia George Carter, M.D.
Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, Dornechia George Carter, M.D., is an award-winning board-certified Dallas-Fort Worth area dermatologist who has called the Metroplex home since 2011. Her scope of practice encompasses medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology with a special interest in psoriasis, skin of color, skin cancer prevention, detection, and treatment. She takes pride in tailoring treatment plans for each patient’s individual needs and educating patients about their skin.
Undergraduate Education:
Dr. Carter completed her undergraduate education at Cornell University, earning a dual degree in Human Development and Human Biology, Health, and Society.
Medical School & Residency
She attended medical school at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas as a Diversity Scholar. Following internship at Houston Methodist Hospital, she completed her training at Baylor as the first African-American resident in the Department of Dermatology. She is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology and a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology.
